Description

Hmm. I believe there *was* a treatment of sea water measurements of pH in this document as of a few months ago (cited in a thread in cf_metadata, in fact; see below), but I no longer see it. Has it been removed?

This topic is useful for clarifying the difference between the different sea water scales for pH, and for reflecting the fact that those scales are typically given as moles/kg. I would be interested in your thoughts on this matter.

Citations from a previous cf_metadata email (May 1, 2009 5:28:26 PM PDT) that relate.

There was never specific mention of Seawater in any revision of the UCUM specification and no such thing had been removed.

If you would kindly detail the change you would like to see to the UCUM specification. Could you summarize the main point of the references you give and the inconsistency you appear to suspect.

Thank you.
